Über Dice Roller

A dice roller simulates polyhedral dice used in tabletop RPGs and board games. The usual shorthand is NdM—N dice with M faces—plus an optional flat modifier. toco.tools accepts notation like `3d6+2` or `d20`, plus quick presets (d4–d100). You see each face, the subtotal, the final total, and for repeated rolls the min, max, and average. Randomness comes from the browser CSPRNG (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling—not Math.random—so every face stays equally likely. Everything runs locally; nothing is sent to a server.

So funktioniert's

  1. Enter notation or pick a preset (e.g. 3d6+2)
  2. Optionally set times, then roll
  3. Review faces and totals, then copy if needed

FAQ

What notation is supported?

NdM±modifier. Examples: `d20` (one 20-sided die), `3d6`, `2d10+5`, `4d6-1`. Omitting N means 1 die.

Are the rolls fair?

Yes. We use the browser CSPRNG (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling for an unbiased integer in 1…sides—not Math.random.

What are the limits?

Up to 100 dice per expression, 2–1000 sides, and up to 100 repeated rolls of the same expression.

Are results sent to a server?

No. Rolls run entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to toco.tools servers.
