About Whitespace Cleaner

Whitespace cleaning helps when pasted text carries extra spaces, tabs, or stray leading/trailing blanks. Newlines are preserved; consecutive ASCII spaces are collapsed to one so line structure stays intact. By default, trim ends, collapse spaces, and tabs→spaces are on. Enable “trim lines” to also strip spaces/tabs at the start and end of every line. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

How to use

FAQ

Are newlines removed too?

No. Space collapsing only targets ASCII spaces; newlines are preserved.

How many spaces does a tab become?

Each tab becomes a single space. If collapse spaces is on, consecutive spaces are then squeezed to one.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Processing runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to toco.tools servers.
